On its 20th anniversary, ComNet showed a vigorous industry with bright new approaches to networking challenges. New products in routing/switching, network management, voice over IP, videoconferencing, and access were particularly strong this year. Digital Subscriber Line got a lot of attention, leading us to think that this year, at last, it might even reach out and touch someone.
