Fed: Costello unveils changes to retirement = 4
Under the current system, a couple can receive a part-pension even with $466,500 in
assets, not including the family home.
Mr Costello said the 100 per cent assets test exemption for retirees receiving a private
pension would be halved to 50 per cent for pensions purchased after September 20 this
year.
